Additional Information
The proper operation of any dimmable compact fluorescent light bulb is to allow the lamp to come to full brightness before dimming. Dimmable CFLs can be problematic when operated on some electronic dimmer controls and switches. These lamps perform better on standard slide, rotary, and toggle dimmers. The manufacturers of dimmable CFLs have reported that their lamps may not dim at equal levels. In addition, our tests show that dimmable fluorescents may only dim 70 to 80%. Several companies manufacture dimmable CFLs, but the least problematic bulbs come from Overdrive Lamp Company, Litetronics, and Neptun Manufacturing.
