Additional Information
The proper operation of any dimmable compact fluorescent light bulb is to allow the lamp to come to full brightness before dimming. Dimmable CFL’s can be problematic when operated on some electronic dimmer controls and switches. These lamps perform better on standard slide, rotary and toggle dimmers.
The Manufacturers of Dimmable CFL’s have reported that their lamps may not dim at equal levels. In addition, our tests show that dimmable fluorescents may only dim 80 to 70%.
Litetronics Microbrite Cold Cathode Fluorescent bulbs dim evenly and are less problematic.
Several Companies manufacture dimmable CFL’s and the least problematic bulbs comes from Overdrive lamp Company, Litetronics and Neptun Manufacturing.
