SEM Specialist

Position Summary:The SEM Specialist will work closely with the Marketing Director to help execute and perform ongoing maintenance for paid search campaigns. They will operate behind the scenes and work with multiple teams to aid in campaign set-ups, optimizations, reporting, and various other duties as needed.


  • Basic keyword research, categorization and list refinements
  • Implement bidding strategies and ensure campaign goals are met
  • Recommend ad copy changes based on CTR, click share, and impression share analytics
  • Facilitate the setup of new approved campaigns
  • Work closely with Google and MSN teams to find improvement areas and beta testing new technologies
  • Communicate regularly on status, budget, performance metrics and competitive metrics


  • 2+ years of paid search management and experience required
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, along with a understanding of content writing that influences click through behavior
  • Must be able to verbalize campaign changes and make recommendations based on changing business rules
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage frequent demands
  • A drive to be the best and compete to win within a fast-paced company
  • Intermediate MS Office skills


  • Bachelors Degree or multiple years equivalent work experience
  • Outstanding portfolio of your current and previous SEM work
  • Knowledge and experience with retargeting ads
  • Experience with ad extension types and when to use them
  • Thorough understanding of SEM terminology
