This is my first experience with CFL's. These bulbs are a great price, so I took a shot and used them to replace the bulbs in my ceiling fans. Wow, the light is bright, clear, and white; definitely no yellow or blue tones. They do take a few seconds to reach full brightness, but it's not a big deal to me. If you're one who likes soft lighting, these probably aren't for you. But, if you want it to look like it's daytime inside, these are for you! I now have the brightest apartment in my building. :)
