Awesome bulbs! I replaced 8-500 watt halogens with 10 of these. These put out better light and use about as much power as 1 of the halogen bulbs.

I'm using these in some outside fixtures outside my garage. I'm in NJ, so the temperature is fairly temperate. When it's about 32F outside, they reach full brightness in a little over a minute. It's faster when it's warmer. At full brightness, they throw a great amount of very white light, and fully light the 30' area around it. They're a little expensive for a bulb, but they're less than other choices for a 250W bulb, and use less electricity. Very nice.
Just be warned that these puppies are BIG. So make sure your fixture has enough room before you buy.

No problems or major complaints. The bulb is supposed to be a 250 watt equivalent, but it isn't much brighter than 150 watt equivalents I have used in the same application.

I use these CFLs up on our barn to light up the parking area property beside the barn. These bulbs take below zero cold with no problem, last a long time, and use far less electricity than other outdoor bulbs. They are wonderful. They come very well packaged in form fitting stryrofoam, so they will never get damaged in shipping.

I bought a pair of these bulbs to replace the ones that came with my Cowboy Studio table top lighting kit. This bulbs are way better quality and way more bright. They are a little big but it doesn't bother me. I got them almost a year ago and I haven't had any problem at all as opposed to my original bulbs that broke on the first week. Great for what I need them. They arrived really well packaged and secured and the shipping was fast.
