I recently remodeled my beach condo kitchen and popped in a number of recessed light fixtures. My wife asked if I was going to stick in a bunch of hot halogen bulbs and I said "of course not" and took them back to the store and ordered these. They take a little bit of time to reach maximum brightness, but at the beach who is in a hurry?

This bulb is saving our business lots of money. We have replaced all of our halogen bulbs in our business. They last much longer and do not create the heat. I highly recommend this bulb!!!
