FlexTec 206TRK123 - Rope Light - 3 ft.

Channel Raceway - 1/2 in.

Does the job The raceway, as others have observed, is very brittle. All fastener holes must be predrilled to avoid splitting it. If cutting/trimming it, use a VERY sharp hacksaw blade and cut slowly. It chipped using a sharp blade on my tablesaw, it is so brittle. It would also be helpful if it came in greater than three foot lengths. If it were in direct sunlight exposure, I don't know how long it would hold up, many plastics don't fare well with UV exposure. October 14, 2011
Makes any rope light application look professional They are easy to use, flexible, can be cut to size, and keeps rope light very straight. I have the rope lights edging my driveway. I could not have kept them straight without these channel tracks. I just used flat head steel screws to attach them to the trex running up the driveway edge. Very straight and neat. October 8, 2011
Should have holes pre-drilled...melts when drilled leaving This product would be great if there were holes punched 4-6 inches on center. When I tried drilling the holes for screwing down the track, it melted on the back side requiring a knife to cut of the protrusion that will hold the track from being mounted flat. I ended up using 1/2" inch flat head phillips screws but, if you tighten to far, they melt and cause the track to rise up....it was a pain that could be eliminated by punching the holes while warm from extruding....as it is, you have to carefully screw them in...I did not end up pre-drilling because of the melting. easy to use shipped fast and was very easy to install A MUST if you use rope lighting Just keep the rails straight and keep the lights directional and you will get a pro look even if you are a klutz DO NOT set your drill on high if you use an electric or tighten by hand. I used LED rope lights to light an outside patio 10 feet apart and about 10 feet long x 7(used the bright type) and the lighting is perfect.Looks real cool at night and NO glare or obnoxious brightness for your guests. easy to use easy to use and get a nice clean install...little bit longer would be helpful, but overall good deal July 25, 2011
Perfect for my application I installed rope light on my pergola. I needed some way to hold it up in the air. These clip in tracks worked great. June 30, 2011
Holds lights very well Once installed it holds the rope light perfectly and looks very nice. Only drawback is that track was a little brittle when cutting. Tried tin snips but that shattered it. Used chop saw with markedly better results, though I still had to pay close attention to which direction I put the channel under the blade (works best if open end is the last part of the channel that the saw passes through). Also pre-drilled holes and hand nailed because nail gun shattered test piece. But that was expected. After installation: rope light slid in very smoothly, and even was possible to pull it out without breaking channel, though difficult to remove (perfect!). Looks very nice and has been surprisingly resilient to the ravaged of an infant and a vacuum cleaner bumping the channel. June 13, 2011
Great Product For The Price I used this channel raceway for my Christmas decorations Eventhough it was designed for rope light it also works with C5 bulbs. I used it to outline my windows with lights. June 12, 2011
