Buying this bulb is a no-brainer as I live in CA
If you want a bulb that you can use for reading, you had better stock up now. I live in California where they can no longer sell bulbs that put out any light. This one works fine. I cannot comment on the bulb life yet as I have not had them that long.
The bulb ban is coming nationwide. If you like the mercury filled bulbs the government wants you to have, fine.
