The Halco 6321 bulb is equipped with a heavy-duty 130 volt filament, allowing it to last longer when operated at 120 volts. With a 5,000 hour life, this bulb has nearly twice the lifetime of similar bulbs. (At 120 volt approximate 53 watts, 395 lumens, 14,250 life hours.)

Can a 60 watt lightbulb represent hope? Can it represent freedom? Can it fight totalitarianism? Well, until I purchased the Halco 60 watt bulb from 1000 Bulbs, I did not think about it. However, the offer to refund the cost of my entire order made me look deeper into this bulb. Surely, the spectre of a demon incandescent bulb sucking the energy out of our home was lurking. If the government could only show me the error of my ways, but NO! I not only purchased one bulb, I purchased many in order to illuminate the darkness with my incandescent hero! No muted CFL or funky LED for me! Just a solid, dependable, dimmable, heat producing, Thomas Edison inspired incandescent bulb to shine the light of freedom in our home! How does it work? It floods the area with the warm glow of a 60 watt bulb, THAT is how it works! And I love it. I have enough bulbs in a variety of wattages that our carbon footprint may have gone from regular to Extra Wide! All in all, a great purchase experience followed by quick shipping for a good price means that I am a happy camper. Well, maybe not a camper but happy nevertheless! 1000 Bulbs: Supplier of hope and shining a bright light into our future!

I bought 130v bulbs instead of 120v thinking it would help alleviate the buzz when the bulbs are dimmed. There is no difference and the the extra 10v decreases the brightness of the bulbs- the 60 watt feels like a 25 watt bulb. The low output also makes the the color of the light very yellow, the 100w are no better- dim and yellow. Fortunately, these were inexpensive as I bought several boxes of 60w and 100w. They are now in a box designated for the thrift store. 1000 bulbs is a great place to buy bulbs but steer clear of 130 volt Halcos.

I recently replaced a fluorescent bulb with this one at a home workstation. This bulb produces a much more pleasant quality of light, and the price was so reasonable.
