The product performs exactly as advertised
I would highly recommend this product. I searched every local big-box store looking for these bulbs and all I could find were the new engergy-saving types. I was pleased to find 1000Bulbs.com.

Perfect for a theater
We need lights which can be dimmed. Because CFL bulbs can not be dimmed, we have to use in our Fixtures Halco 75005 - 85 Watt - BR40 - HaloXen - Halogen flood lights and they work beautifully. The existing bulbs will be replaced as needed. Soon we will have only this type of bulb in our auditorium.

Excellent Halogen Long Life and Bright
A very good spot light for can lights. Lasts at least 3 times longer than regular incandescent bulbs and a very good value for the dollar.

Great bulb.
This light bulb is ultra bright, while using less energy than comparable bulbs.

Product did not meet claims made for it.
I purchased these bulbs because of their claim to long (5000 hours) life. The first one I installed burned out in less than 20 hours, a second one is currently in use at about 4 hours per day. These are being used in what I think you would call normal conditions and should therefore last about 3 years. So far I'm not impressed.
