I purchased and am using six of these above the mirror in my main bathroom. Four out of the six bulbs take a while to come to their full brightness, sometimes almost a minute if I haven't turned them on in a few hours. Overall not a deal-breaker if I consider the savings versus my old incandescents, but I would expect these to behave like other CFLs around the apartment.
