Rated 5 out of 5 by Alfresco By far the best timer for our customers
We use these timers in landscape lighting installs and the result has been fantastic. There are about 10 of them that have been in for over a year and have been working without an incident in failure. We can not say enough about the quality of these timers.
Had a customer request that we use the GE timer that the home improvement stores sell, so I checked it out. The people on the floor at the store said that every one of the GE devices that they have sold has come back. Not a good track record.

I love this product. Its easy to install and with the daylight saving feature, once you get it programmed, you dont have to worry about when your lights are turning on and off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jackm Works Great, But Observe Max Wattage
The product performs as advertised, which is very good, but if you are even within 80% of the max wattage rating, you will find that you have to replace it pretty often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by impactbass Perfect when photocells are not an option
Excellent Intermatic quality timer with built in astronical time clock function. I use it for dusk to dawn operation but it can shut off or come on at any time required. Uses a CR3 lithium battery which seems to be holding up well. Has been installed for six months with no problems. Only downside is the sound of the relay makes a distinct click. You would not want this in your bedroom.

This is a great timer that is very clean and attractive. I had a little difficulty in the programming, but other than that, it is a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by replicnt6 Great electro-mechanical timer switch
There are a lot of fully-electronic timers out there, but they typically require you to have a neutral wire available in the switch box.
If you're replacing a regular switch or a mechanical timer, it is possible that you don't have a neutral available in the switch box. If that's the case, then this timer is a wonderful alternative to trying to find a neutral wire.
One really nice thing is that it can be calibrated to your geographic location so that it optionally adjusts on and off times based on estimated sunrise/sunset times. This makes it really set and forget.
