This Intermatic ET8215C electronic astronomic pulsed contact 7-day time switch automatically switches loads according to a preset weekly schedule with to-the-minute accuracy. The astronomic feature provides sunset ON and sunrise OFF settings to eliminate the need for separate photo control devices. The independent 7-day programming provides complete flexibility for applications where load switching differs each day of the week. The timer features an auto daylight saving time adjustment and astronomic programming can be combined with independent programs to provide a sunset ON and timed OFF program.

The 8215C is actually a 2xSPST or DPST. It is the two-circuit version of the 8015C.
I have installed four of these timers to control parking lot lights and large Christmas light displays. The battery backup and automatic adjustments for Daylight Saving Time work flawlessly. These timers are a nice alternative to installing light sensors when you use them to control lights you want to turn on/off at dusk/dawn. My only disappointment is the inconsistency in internal clock speed from unit to unit. At the end of a year, timers can be out of sync with one another by three minutes or more.
Note: When power is cut to the timer, the line/load circuits automatically open. Power must be on for the circuits to remain closed.
