This relay will only activate these auxiliary devices when it receives a smoke signal from an interconnected smoke alarm. I hooked it up to my House alarm system. it was easy to install. It has normally open and normally closed contacts. It also has easy to understand wire schematics. Now I have all 5 of my smoke detectors hooked up my alarm system, instead of just one alarm smoke detector.
