We have recessed lighting in our vaulted ceiling kitchen/dining/great room so it's always a good idea to have spares on hand and 1000 bulbs had very good prices that allow me to stock up. Additionally, with incandescent bulbs being outlawed in the near future, it made this an obvious purchase. CFL replacement flood lamps just don't cut it and LED replacements are much too expensive and don't produce pleasing light.

I use these bulbs in the track lighting of our retail store. They last just as long as the comparable GE brand and they're a third of the price.

Bought 30 of these for a new house with lots of ceiling cans. Six months later we have replaced a third of them. A rahs of them in the last week.
And because we have Solatubes almost everywhere, some of them hardly ever get turned on, with the most used (in the kitchen) getting perhaps two hours a day.
I saved money, but I'm paying now.

I by these bulbs because they are cheap. I have 8 tracts of 5 bulbs each and probably replace 10 a month. Some bulbs have been in for 2 years and many for 1-2 months.
I have mixed emotions about them.

My house has a ton of recessed lighting. Consistently finding similar lights, with similar neck length can be difficult. Buying these lights bulk from 1000 bulbs saves a ton of money for me, as they are about 60% cheaper than buying at Home Depot.

I compared these to some of the name brand bulbs and by description, they were the same bulb at a lower price. When I received them, I was very disappointed as they are supposed to be a wide flood bulb but ended up being very spotty even in a 9' ceiling. I would not recommend this bulb due to the light distribution even though the light output was good.
