These bulbs are incredibly small and bright. They exceeded my very high expectations. Background: I have two new Harbor Breeze ceiling fans that can only take a maximum 40W candelabra base bulb. I was looking for more light than the standard light bulb but wanted full dimming. A CFL was not really ideal in my case. Also, the wiring is so thin and cheap on those new Harbor Breeze fans that the ballasts do not receive enough current to not flicker during operation. These new light bulbs are extremely tiny and bright. It is surprising how much light they put out. The light color is also on-par with what you would want from a normal light bulb (i.e. not like the horrible CFL or HID type lighting).

Rated 2 out of 5 by meee base doesnt fit well in some sockets
I guess it depends on the manufacture of the socket. Most of them fit but they have to be cranked in very tight in order to work . Some of the sockets I had to bend the center tab up.
