HighMax lamps are designed to manage heat so that lumen maintenance is maximized. Critical components (susceptible to heat failure) are chosen for their high heat tolerance. The body of the lamp is vented with patented air gaps to increase cooling air flow. HighMax lamps also include a thick aluminum heat sink between heat producing components to remove even more heat from the lamp. Ideal uses include high and low bays, gymnasiums, warehouses, churches, wall packs, shop floors, and parking garages.

Rated 4 out of 5 Beware the huge base
These were installed as a power company retrofit in antique light fixtures. The bases are abslutly huge. we had to install socket extenders which resulted inthe light bulb sticking out way beyond the shade. Much adaptation occurred. the quality of thr light coming from this bulb is lovely. But don't expect a screw out, screw in job if your fixtures are old .
