Review Summary: Packs a wallop and keeps on ticking
I use this bulb on a motion detector (with a 500 Watt maximum rating) along with two other Sylvania 14856, 120 Watt, PAR38 spots to light up my backyard and the chicken coop which is 80 feet away. This bulb really does the job, and if you are familiar with what the government is trying to do with attempting to regulate what wattage bulbs the public can buy, you can really appreciate this product's availability. If it is not too cold, I found out that the projected radiant energy from my 490 watt spotlight array actually melted ice from the concrete patio 8 feet underneath it.

Good customer service by 1000bulbs.com. One of the two Sylvania 15526 - 250 Watt - PAR38 - Spot - Halogen - 4,500 Life Hours - 3,500 Lumens - 120 Volt spot lights that I ordered died after only a week in service, and it is on a motion detector, which means it had less than 4 hours of total run time. Obviously a case of infant mortality. 1000Bulbs.com was quick to respond to my phone call and immediately sent out a replacement and the replacement is still doing fine a year later. Great company!

I needed to upgrade from 90 watt par 38's. These were perfect and the narrow spot beam gives great separation with different color gels!

I use these for spot lights for our entertainers. Nice and bright
without the high cost of leko's. Used at 10' you can get a 4' lighted area.
