This gives off a nice warm light. For only a 7.5w light I am surprised how good this lights the darker corners of the home.

I have a small light in my hall that I leave on as a night light. Every other bulb was so bright that I thought they were doing night time road work in the hall. The lowest watt I could find at the chain stores was 25 watt and that just wasn't cutting it. Now the hall has a soft glow, enough to see, but not blind you and the bulb last much longer than any other bulb I have put in that particular lamp. Will be stocking up on more.

I have bought many replacement bulbs for my decorative candles at places like Home Depot and Target. The bulbs they sell are poor quality - very short life and they break easily. The Satco bulbs are a very good quality and they last - haven't counted the hours but they have far outlasted the others. They also come in the 7.5 watt size which uses less power and gives a soft glow. Needless to say 1000 Bulbs sells them at a good price!
