A lot of these low wattage bulbs put out a lot of light. I estimated the cost of replacing these every few thousand hours vs. spending $40+ for each LED and it would take 20+ years to recoup. Great value, great light - some are still going after a year of being on all night, every night.

I use this in a small frosted glass cube on my bar. It's a perfect soft warm sepia - like a candle, only with a little more punch. Lovely table light at dinner.
