As others have mentioned, I purchased this adapter initially to modify a chandelier to accept intermediate base bulbs for Xmas. It is also useful for electric window candles and other candelabra base fixtures. The one fault I would find is that the base enclosure is heavy duty cardboard, not a ceramic or plastic white finish, which is what you usually have in other adapters. I did an exhaustive search for that type of adapter before I settled for this one, and in all other respects it met my requirements. In order to make it "look good", however, I had to go to my local hardware store and purchase 12 pvc pipe fittings to raise the height of the candle bodies so that the plastic sleeves fit over the adapter. They actually work perfectly and the chandelier looks better than before, but it all would have been unnecessary if the adapter were white instead of cardboard colored...

I needed these for a very compact Halloween project. After searching a few local lighting and electrical suppliers, I ordered them from 1000 bulbs. The parts came quickly. The quality of the parts was very good. They are compact, and allow you change the socket size in the most minimal way.

I am a crafter. I was making glass blocks for a project and had some great bulbs but they had the wrong base for what I was using. I found this great enlarger and was able to use the bulbs that I wanted in my blocks. I was so happy to find them and thrilled with the results.
