Rated 5 out of 5 by GaryHP007 Good product, however the cost is a little high for everyday purchasing.
The light quality is very good even with a CRI of 82. It dims well which is important. If the cost was less, i would replace all of the lamps with these. The volume discount kicks in at too great a quantity for homeowners - its geared towards industry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EarhSurfer Excellent performance, Compatible with Conventional Dimmers
The Toshiba 16P30S/827FL32 readily replaced the standard 65W PAR30S lamps used in my home. The color matches well, and the bulbs are compatible with conventional dimmers. (Check the dimmer compatibility list.)
The turn on delay varies from bulb to bulb, so multiple bulbs on a single switch will not start at exactly the same instant.
When working with a conventional dimmer, the bulb requires "bumping" to about 30% brightness for the bulb to light, then it may be faded down to about 5% intensity. There does not appear to be significant color shift at low levels.
This bulb did not work well with a dimmer specifically designed for LED bulbs (~$24) but worked perfectly with a $9 dimmer that was on the compatibility list.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CTOScott Noisy, not happy with Lutron LED dimmers, but still nice bulbs
Pros: nice color, nice size, nice pattern.
Cons: absolutely won't work with my Lutron dimmers. (They have not tested with any Toshiba bulbs at this point in time). I have fixed the issue by adding one 40w halogen to each circuit, and that has made them dim smoothly and also not have any flickering. Also a bit noisy.
All in all... I love these LED's, and I like the construction and light of these bulbs. I also like the way Toshiba makes them available in so many different patterns and colors. I just wish they worked with the Lutron dimmers.
