Incredible high-quality light I absolutely love this bulb. We bought 18 of them. The light quality / color is identical or perhaps better than the halogens/incandescents it replaces. Truly the future of lighting. We run our par20's about 5 hours a day, which means that each of these bulbs will be saving us 87 KWh per year compared to the 60 watt incandescents these replaced. I had an initial disappointment with the light spread/angle until I realized that 1000bulbs had accidentally shipped me the narrow spot (8 degree) instead of medium flood (25 degree) version of this bulb. The boxes are nearly identical. 1000bulbs customer service was great. They paid for return shipping, and they shipped me the correct bulbs without waiting for my RMA to arrive. March 22, 2012
Good quality and warm light Product is of good quality and the light is warm, very similar to incandescent bulbs, however the dimming is not as precise. May 13, 2012
Tottally Wicked Cool I just purchased 7 of these for recessed lighting. Wow, am i impressed. LED's have come come a long way but these are awsome!!! April 19, 2012
Great replacement for high ceilings. I got 5 of these. 4 for track fixtures that light a kitchen counter from a 16 foot high ceiling and one that is located on an 18 foot high ceiling over stairs. These replaced 50 Watt PAR20 halogen spot lamps. I was concerned that these lamps might not have a strong enough beam to throw the light the distances needed. Turns out they are fine. I measured the light level at the kitchen counter top with the incandescent light then again after installing the LED lamps. The LED produced a slightly lower light level but it is so close you have to measure it with a light meter to tell the difference. I look forward to never again having to set up a ladder over those stairs to change out a burned out lamp. April 2, 2012
Impressive performance This is the best LED Par 20 replacement I have found for my 4" ceiling can halogen bulbs. They are almost identical in brightness to my existing 50 watt halogens (they're slightly brighter than the halogens) with very similar color rendition. When illuminated next to the halogens, I can see that the LEDs are a little more "white", but I cannot distinguish them from halogens when they are lit separately. Between the incredibly long life (1.5 years vs. a projected 20 years) and the skimpy wattage (these LEDs use less than 20% of the halogen's energy), they will pay for themselves in just a couple of years vs. my existing halogens. They also work just fine with my existing Lutron P600 dimmers! I believe these are the last bulbs I'll ever need to buy. February 17, 2012
