The Toshiba E-Core 16P30L/827FL32 PAR30L long neck is a high quality 120 volt LED replacement lamp. The PAR30 is a highly efficient LED lamp which uses only 16.3 watts of energy, significantly reducing your carbon footprint while maintaining a very high quality of light. The PAR30 has a standard medium base, which makes it ideal for retail lighting, museum lighting, hospitality lighting, accent lighting, recessed lighting, and architectural lighting. All Toshiba E-Core LED products have been manufactured in accordance with RoHS standards, and unlike compact fluorescent products, E-Core lamps contain no mercury.

After unsuccessfully trying countless PAR30 CFLs for a family room with dimmers, Toshiba comes out with a bright enough, natural white enough LED. These are GREAT in our family room- terrific light temperature, plenty bright at full power, almost instantaneous startup, dimmable, and very low power consumption. Don't wait any further, these rock.

I have probably 50+ recessed lights, and have been reading that LED is now warm light, etc. So I tried this bulb as potential replacement for all as my regular bulbs burn out. But I noticed a few things. Quality of light. Maybe it is better than LED used to be, just I still find it overly white, not the golden glow of the regular halogen that I usually use. Dimming problems. Yes, it dims, but not at the same level as the other bulbs. It is MUCH brighter. Hesitation at start up. Not a deal killer, but I notice it.
So, if you are thinking about going LED from halogen, my advice is to wait. They are good, but not great yet.

i have problems with the bulb blinking when it is turned off .....not sure if it is my controller box sending the electricity thru the bulb ,or the bulb doing it .
good strong illumination.
