Rated 5 out of 5 by Ausgeziechnet ! I ordered one of these units to test out in our shop about a month ago, and it arrived this week. The fixture seems to be extremely well made, the electrical box provided at the top is ingenious and affords several mounting options one of which was removing the top insert plate and screwing it directly to the truss bracing for a permanent, solid installation. The ballast box slides into the electrical box on rails and is secured with a screw, again, simple and easy. Connections are simple, just open up the ballast housing and pick the wire with the correct voltage marked on it, The electrical box has a removable side panel so you can connect to the buildings wiring with the unit firmly mounted in place and then just push everything in and close it up. I ordered a single unit to test out as i was concerned whether it would throw a wide enough light beam to provide full coverage in our shop. Our ceiling is 12 feet with a 14 foot spacing between fixtures and it is more than sufficient. Will be ordering more to equip the entire shop shortly and expect to be using these on every other building we put up here in the future as well. Its about a months wait to get these, as i think they are manufactured as ordered by PL&T, but for the value compared to the junk made by the major corporations and the quality of construction, its well worth the wait, especially if multiple units are needed. We'll see how long the ballasts last, but from what i've seen so far, i'd strongly recommend these to anyone. June 9, 2012
