I have a breezeway between 2 homes that I own. I have 25' white wire strings {which I also purchased here} on my white gutters and leave up 365 days/yr. I have these 130 volt/5 watt bulbs on each string. In the summer, it gives off enough light to see when friends are over and they don't attract bugs. They have been installed for 3 yrs. I burn them continuously during the Holidays 24/7 and every Fri/Sat nite in the outdoor months. I have had to replace 1 bulb so far. Keep this in mind: because they are rated at 130 volts, they will be slightly less bright than the 120 volt equivalent. This also extends the life over the 120 volt equivalent.

I use many of these bulbs mainly for night lights I also have one of those new fangled hanging lights that holds 7-40W small based bulbs which I consider a waste of electricity. I but these 5W bulbs in place of the 40W so I could ude this hanging lamp as a night light and save electricity. These are very expensive in stores which is why I bought several boxes.

I manage luxury properties & these C-7s cast an even illumination on the multi-lamp post & wall sconce, lantern style fixtures I maintain. In this era of energy conservation & CFLs my multi lamp fixtures use a minimum in wattage without the CFL disposal issues. Also, they have a 130V rating.
If you want crystal clear & dependable ambient lighting these lamps are for you.

I bought both the clear and colored Candelabra Base light bulbs. I have a very unique 16 light fixture in my hallway. It only takes the Candelabra Base bulbs. I was extremely happy to find clear and many colors on 1000bulbs.com. These bulbs make the light pop. Everyone loves the lights.

It is becoming harder to find incandescent bulbs for older style "Christmas" light strings such as those that encircle the roofs of our lodge. The bulbs we got were economical and their longevity has been fantastic!
I heartily recommend them for any decorative use.
