I purchased these for economical operation. I read that a single 7-watt incandescent bulb consumers 140 times the electricity of an LED light.
Important Note: The light color of this particular (pure white) set is a much brighter white than a typical incandescent bulb. Since it is a matter of taste, you might also consider LED bulbs that are described as emitting a "warm" light.
