New Construction IC Housing - CA Title 24 Compliant
The RC6 is a recessed housing for new construction designed to accommodate the LR6 family of modules. Its maximum wattage is rated at 12 watts, ensuring the benefits of the low energy consumption of the LR6 are realized in the calculation of energy density for energy code compliance and LED certification. The RC6 is IC rated, airtight, and California Title-24 compliant when ordered with the GU24 socket.

I did a DIY install of 5 of these above my master bedroom (open attic above) with CR6 LED lights. The cans are decently thick metal and the electrical boxes are pre-wired with connectors. The clips on the sides are a tight fit in 16" OC joists, but they do fit down from above.
