Rated 5 out of 5 by Chrissie This type of bulb is fantastic!
My husband and I remodeled our kitchen. We were looking for a CFL that would give us the warm light that we wanted. There are so many bulbs out there that have white light. With the under cabinet lighting, we thought a 2700 bulb would be the ticket.! You do not have to wait for the bulb to warm up! Wow! It is warm light and dimmable! It is the best. We give this bulb a fiive star rating.

I needed to replace my 65W incandescent can lights in my dressing room which made the room terribly hot during the summer so I tried this CFL. It was only OK. When truning on they have about a 1.5 second delay after flipping the switch which would take some getting used to. They give a much brighter and whiter light than my 65W incandescents which was particularly noticeable on the white wardrobe doors and drawers. I found it glaring.
I tried them in the kitchen, again with the same result, and I really didn't like the color at all. Again it was glaringly bright and the cast it gave to the room and the food was unpleasant to me.
On the plus side it is perfectly dimmable, and It is a much less expensive way to go than the LED's, but as time goes by my guess is that the LED's will come down in price and I will gradually replace all my lights with LED lights.
I recommend these only because they are considerably less expensive than LED's.
