With the Lutron Skylark CTCL-153P-WH you can finally control CFL and LED lights with ease. This industry-first dimmer uses Lutron's patented HED technology for smooth, reliable dimming of high efficacy bulbs, including dimmable compact fluorescents and dimmable LED bulbs with integrated drivers. This works well for LEDs and dimmable CFLs. The horizontal rocker switch at the bottom is for on/off. It takes a bit of re-learning since most switches are up/down.
The slider alone should not turn off the light. With the cover plate removed, you must adjust a little dial so that the slider dims the light as far as possible while still switching off and back on with the rocker. This is a one time adjustment. If you fail to do this, the other switch in your 3-way circuit may not turn the light back on.
If your electrical boxes are metal with mud rings (opening has rounded corners) then this switch will not fit the opening.

This is perfect for a dining room (which is what I bought it for). What's great about it is that you can use dimmable CFLs, dimmable LEDs, regular incandescent/halogen bulbs, or any combination of the three. Our chandelier uses five upward pointing bulbs (CFLs), and one downward pointing R-type flood in the middle (for that, we use a full spectrum halogen). Can be used in single switch, three way switch, or even four way switch circuits. Amazing value, very versatile.
