A fine "warm" 150-watt replacement. The diameter of the "twist" is larger than many consumer bulbs and did not fit my particular application. Instead, I pressed it into service in a garage where size is not an issue. Despite the "base down" warning, unless it is enclosed (preventing air circulation) it will probably work fine "base up" as a ceiling lamp. (That's how I am using it now.)
