I was hesitant about changing the bulbs in my kitchen from incandescent to CFL, but after most of the incandescents burned out, I decided it was time to take the plunge.
I was most concerned about startup time. Every morning, I start the coffee maker, then walk to the front door to get my paper. If my lights don't start up quickly, I'll be rummaging around looking for a coffee cup and probably end up slicing my thumb off with the electric can opener. Then how am I going to read the paper?
These bulbs start right up though! No delay that I can tell. And thankfully, both of my thumbs are still intact!

I purchased 2 of these bulbs. Both buzzed very loudly and are therefore unsuitable for most uses.

I bought 2 cases of these bulbs, 24 for multiple fixtures in my home. Unfortunately, they all BUZZ and HUM. Some are louder than others, but when you have 6 bulbs on in the same room it's super annoying.
Anyway, I just shipped these back to 1000bulbs.com, and so far they have been pretty helpful. Apparently will be "testing" them to see if they still buzz in Texas.
