TCP TruStart 5802350K - 23 Watt CFL - 5000K Full Spectrum

100 W Equal - 5000K Full Spectrum - 82 CRI - 36 Month Warranty

TruStart is the first CFL of its kind, providing nearly full brightness in a snap. TruStart is ready for use right after the light switch is flipped, unlike many traditional CFLs on the market today that take minutes to reach a usable light level. Reaching full brightness in approximately 45 seconds, there is no warm up time or need to wait to have usable light, just like an incandescent light bulb. TruStart CFLs have an extremely long rated life of 20,000 hours (twice the normal lifespan), and are fully compatible with vacancy sensors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Starts QUICK! I've accepted the fact that CFLs take a while to warm up, but that doesn't mean I like waiting 2-3 minutes to be able to see my hand in front of me. What's great about this bulb is it only takes 30 seconds to warm up, which is about as close to "instant" as you can get with a CFL. Before, when I used a regular CFL, I'd go out to the garage for a roll of TP and come back with a roll of sandpaper or a squirrel carcass. Now that I've switched to this bulb, I'll never have to worry about THAT again! May 8, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not what you expect for performance. This product from TCP did not live up to other products from TCP. It's so called "quick start" doesn't really start quick. It takes about 30-40 seconds to reach full output and has an aweful humm, while on. If I wasn't so desperate for replacement lighting, I would return all of them. May 3, 2012
