The Lighting Science Definity DFN38W27FL120 18 watt LED PAR38 flood lamp is 80% more efficient than a 90 watt halogen bulb. As it contains no mercury or lead, this dimmable lamp is RoHS compliant and UL listed for wet locations. It has a life expectancy of 50,000 hours and comes with a five-year warranty. This PAR38 lamp gives a visually pleasing ambiance that can easily transition into retrofit applications.

These LED pars are much brighter than I expected them to be compared to conventional halogen par bulbs. I'm very pleased with them. The beam spread on the flood version is much more narrow than a conventional halogen bulb but overall they're great. I use them for up-lighting a residence outdoors. The price of the bulbs are pretty expensive compared to normal bulbs but will hopefully be worth it in the long run.
