I am a fan of Sylvania lighting overall. I have used their bulbs in applications from reptile basking lights, to my most current endeavor, growing show-winning african violets. The bulbs last longer that other brands I have tried and give consistent performance over the duration of the bulb life. The electricity saved and the reduced heat emmited is another noteworthy attribute, in this budget concious time. My plants couldn't be happier and the light, if being used as ambient lighting is very pleasing, not harsh, and is very helpful for chaseing the Winter glum from your mood, when sunlight is scarce and the skies are grey.
