This socket features a turn-knob dimmer for 0 to 100% dimming control right at the bulb! The dimmer can be used with any 120 volt bulb of 150 watts or less, eliminating the need for expensive 3-way bulbs or external dimmers. Made of elegant polished brass with an ivory finish turn knob, this unique socket also works well in antique restorations.

These sockets work well and dim smoothly. They are as easy to install as regular lamp sockets.
Lamp sing was noticeable with 150 watt lamps, but didn't seem to be a problem with 100 watt and smaller lamps. This is the only reason I only gave this socket a 4/5 stars for effectiveness.

This lamp socket has a rotary knob which dims bulb from off to full brightness. It's easy to dim a vintage bulb to emphasis the filament structure. Also, works well with standard incandencent bulbs in lamps.

This mechanical dimmer is very basic and easy to use. You can swap them out on existing lamps to get a nice warm tone by dimming incandescent bulbs. As these products are new, there's no long term review yet. This would be 5-star if the knob were brass as well.
