LED Christmas Light Strings Tester - Tests and Repairs LED Light Strings
The LED Keeper is the only tool on the market able to diagnose and repair most LED string lights. Begin by plugging your defective LED string light into the tester and allowing it to tap-in, using its Insulation Piercing Technology, and illuminating functional sections of the string. Use the included place markers, set of 2, to identify which bulb or socket is not functional. You may then replace the LED bulb. For non-replaceable bulbs, simply cut the bulb out along the wire with scissors and replace it with the included replacement pod, set of 2, which maintains the electrical balance. There has been a bad-bulb locator tool for incandescent light strings for years now. But it's worthless for LED lamps.
This product does the trick, ingeniously! Bravo.

I read and understood the instructions, but found it easier to just pull each LED bulb, stick it in the tester and at the same time look for corrosion in the socket. That was the only way I found a bad bulb.
