We needed true purple flood light bulbs for my daughters wedding, they were very hard to find. 1000 bulbs had a better price, even with shipping costs, than ordering from a local lighting store.

Bought these bulbs to go togher with green and yellow for Mardi Gras. The purple light can barely be seen. I even tried putting 2 purple floods side by side but it didn't help. On one the silver reflective coating around the base is transparent and the light shows through there rather than the purple lens and is like looking into a bright flood. A waste of money and huge dissapointment.

Bought these to illuminate my home with Mardi Gras colors. Although the green does a good job, the purple does not. I'm having to use two purple bulbs to get almost as much color as one green bulb - and it's still not the desired effect. Very poor color output. Very disappointed.

Agree with dbmathison, these lights are severely inadequate in illuminating purple light effectively, you end up with a light purple halo around a white center. In addition, be warned that the lights shipped do not match the image shown (maybe this is stated somewhere in the fine print, but I don't see any mention of it on the product page) which is deceiving.

Ravens fans. Bought 12. The lens is purple. Flooded the house with 5 of these expecting a nice purple hue. But the reflection on the house is much more white than purple. Neighbor has two purple floods on his house that actually shine purple. These do not. Disappointed. Including picture...

Was surprised to see a purple PAR. Ordered four used one to see how they looked. Not happy not enough Ravens purple. My lighting covered in purple gel looks a lot better.
If your looking for Ravens purple do not buy this light.

I bought these purple flood lights to light up my house during college football season. I'm glad I ordered a couple extra's because 3 out of 15 were bad.
