50 watts of light for 37 watts
It does what Sylvania says as far as efficiency goes. An additional benefit is reduced waste heat and cooler fixtures. I seems to last its 5000 hr rating. My only con would be that its light may be slightly pinker on the very edge of its illumination circle than a 50 watt standard MR16 was.
