Rated 5 out of 5 by Stunning in all respects - a real top-notch bulb No, I don't work for TCP. i'm just really impressed with their products. About 5 years ago, we started using these bulbs (starting with the earlier model 28909) on a timer for walkways of an apartment complex. We currently have about 20 of them installed. They average about 8 hours per night of use. I've replaced only 2 of them in 5 years. Many of them now have over 14000 hours of operation and counting! Compare that to a competing top-brand "micro-mini", which I've had 1 in 10 burn out after only a few hundred hours or less. Also, when TCP says "instant-on", they mean it. No delay, no period of dim light. It's nearly full brightness right off the bat. Again, way better than the other brand "instant on". I haven't tried many TCP products, but based on what I've seen, they have the best CFL bulbs on the market. December 2, 2011
