Bright white light, low energy consumption I bought these for use in outside carriage lights on the front of my house and in wall sconces in an indoor stairway, mostly for the energy cost savings since these lights are on all night every night. They are definitely larger than standard 60 watt candelabra lights, so they need more room in fixtures. The tops of the bulbs actually extend above the top of my wall sconces and they sit fairly close side by side in my 2 bulb carriage lights. Durability hasn't been a problem to this point either indoor or outdoor, although it has only been about 1 year. My one regret is purchasing the Full Spectrum color light since my "white" front porch lights look a little out of place compared to all my neighbors' "soft white" ie. yellowish tint lights. They are definitely bright though, and being able to keep my lights on all night allows me to sleep better knowing that it may deter prowlers. June 10, 2011
