After a long search, I have finally found a CFL calendelabra bulb which has 60w equivalent light output. Now instead of burning 50 cents of electricity every three hours in a single hanging fixture, we consume less than 1/4 of that in the same amount of time. I'm projecting $100 less spent in electricity due to these bulbs!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ronp Nice bright light for a kitchen.
These bulbs solved the problem of not having enough light in my kitchen. My ceiling fan only takes torpedo size lamps and these lamps did the job of upgrading from a 40 to a 60 watt bulb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sjchouston Great light for a relatively small bulb
I wanted more light for carriage lamp style outdoor fixture. Requires candelabra base. This bulb puts out much more light than I could get with the incadescent bulbs that I had. I also like the white light at night.

kira13 Good replacement for decorative incandescents
I bought these to replace incandescent bulbs in my bathroom fixtures. I was excited to find these because the bulbs I was replacing were 60-watt bulbs and I had trouble finding CFL torpedo bulbs with candelabra base that were higher than 40-watt equivalent. We love full-spectrum or daylight bulbs because they seem so much brighter than the incandescents they replaced!
The only drawbacks are that these are longer (or taller) than the bulbs they replaced, so they protrude from the fixtures a bit, and as with many CFLs, they take a little while to reach full brightness. Neither thing bothers us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Navmd Bright white light, low energy consumption
I bought these for use in outside carriage lights on the front of my house and in wall sconces in an indoor stairway, mostly for the energy cost savings since these lights are on all night every night. They are definitely larger than standard 60 watt candelabra lights, so they need more room in fixtures. The tops of the bulbs actually extend above the top of my wall sconces and they sit fairly close side by side in my 2 bulb carriage lights. Durability hasn't been a problem to this point either indoor or outdoor, although it has only been about 1 year. My one regret is purchasing the Full Spectrum color light since my "white" front porch lights look a little out of place compared to all my neighbors' "soft white" ie. yellowish tint lights. They are definitely bright though, and being able to keep my lights on all night allows me to sleep better knowing that it may deter prowlers.
