Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great bulb, good product Outside of the cost, this bulb is rock solid. It's built like a rock, has a wonderful color and performs well. Although it tends to look a little institutional (small opening for light output) it performs well and and has a great beam spread. We replaced our 65W Halogens with these and the color temperature is exactly right. We didn't want our kitchen to feel cold, so we went with this CT (2700K). Also, the light output is very similar to what we had before..we just cut our power cost by 80%! These do get quite hot, hence the spaceship-looking heatsink; but it is hidden within the housing. And while mine are installed on a standard switch, they do dim VERY nicely. There's absolutely no flicker. Feel free to comment below if you have any additional questions -- I'd be happy to answer them. July 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The last bulbs I will put in these fixtures These bulbs are fabulous. They are at least as bright as the halogens they are replacing, and give perfect light, smooth and even white illumination, more pleasant when dimmed than the halogens gave. And that for less than a fifth of the energy I was formerly using. With an estimated life span of over 45 years at three hours per day, I am not likely to have to think about replacing them. I ordered these because my local store only had 25° spots that fit my ceiling cans, and I really wanted floods. But they are so much better in other ways than the units I returned that I am thrilled.
