We bought 14 or so of these LED lightbulbs to cut down on the power usage – and they do this very, very well. But what impressed me was their responsiveness to the dimmer switch to which they were attached. They give very precise, even control over the amount of light from the bulbs, and helps to set the right kind of mood for entertaining.

The bulbs vary in brightness (big problem). No way they give off equivalent of 40 watts (big problem). I'm thinking closer to 20 watt equivalence. Very, very poor quality. Awaiting refund.

Used this bulb to replace some par 20-s in outdoor uplight fixtures. Very bright but the warm white is very very close to regular bulbs.
