Ushio 1000568 - MR16 - Superline Reflekto with Black Coated Backing - Constructed mostly for art galleries, these MR-16 lamps provide professional accent lighting through evenly distributed light. The multilense geometry of the reflector surface in conjunction with an axial, computer-aligned filament, uniformly illuminates any surface. There is no ring-shaped shadow and no black spot in the middle of the light pattern.

I had never bought a black back MR16 before this one, but it turned out to be a great buy. Currently, I have 12 of them in a track light in my coffee shop. The light is even, yet soft, and there is no back spill. I think it's worth the extra few bucks.

I bought this comparatively expensive bulb because I wanted even coverage on some artwork. While the 24 degree narrow floods work great, all of these bulbs exhibited an uneven light pattern, with fringing at the edges and a dark spot in the middle. In fairness, every 36 degree bulb I have tried has exhibited this behavior. The best alternative is probably a frosted front bulb, but these are difficult to find with a black back. I returned these and received great service from 1000Bulbs.
