The Ushio Frostline 1003255 MR16 is the ideal choice for pendant lamps. Frostline MR16 lamps feature both a frosted lens and a frosted reflector. Unlike dichroic reflectors, a frosted reflector allows clean, white light to spill in all directions from the lamp, but still maintain the focused beam of an MR16. As a result, your glass pendants will not appear overly dark or create unintended light patterns commonly associated with dichroic reflectors.

Just what I needed!
My fixture needed a bulb with a non-relector back to maintain it's designed appearance (see attached photo). The fixture manufacturer could not supply appropriate replacement bulbs. This Ushio bulb works perfectly.

Features and Benefits
USHIO's Frostline™ series of MR-16 lamps feature a Halogen capsule surrounded by a frosted reflector and frosted front glass cover. Because there is no reflective coating on the reflector, the light profile spills in all directions.
Normal dichroic MR-16s typically cause color changes or disruptive patterns on colored fixture glass. The Frostline™ series was designed to fit into pendant glass fixtures and elimnate the back-spill of "dichroic color" often occuring when used in these type of fixtures.
