(10 Globe) Patio Light Stringer

120 Volt - 38 ft. - Prismatic Acrylic 6 in. Clear Globes

Bring the holidays to your outdoor patio or recreational vehicle awning with this patio Christmas light stringer. This 38-foot stringer has 10 prismatic acrylic clear globes on white, E26 medium base sockets. The 6-inch shatterproof globes take a 60 watt bulb maximum and are UL listed for wet locations, so inclement weather will not stop the lights from shining. The white wire is coiled between sockets, so there is no danger of long, hanging wires between the lights. Bring the ho-ho-ho to your outdoor holiday lighting display with this fun and delightful light stringer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best available patio lights for wet locations After admiring a similar string of lights on a neighbor's deck for years, we were delighted to find this string of 10 UL wet-rated patio light globes. Our intended use is on a screened pergola, which means the string is completely unprotected from rain or snow, making the wet rating essential. We have them surrounding 3 sides of a 16 by 16 foot deck, spaced about 4 feet apart. That results in the coiled white cords between each pair of globes hanging down in a pretty 3 inch arc. The straight cord from the GFI wall outlet to the first globe is an ample 15 feet, and the cord is quite durable - well able to handle the rated 60 watts per bulb. In our case, we used the smallest compact fluorescent bulbs locally available - 9 watt, and find even those more than bright enough to read by outside at night. Unfortunately, they are also bright enough for a neighbor to notice, so we'll use even smaller bulbs next time. Despite the extra brightness, I'm glad we got the 10 globe string rather than only 6 for our location. Installation was easy: just unpack and unwrap all the parts, add a bulb to and install each plastic globe, adding a supplied hook to the top of the base. Then attach the hooks to brass hooks we already had in place for an earlier failed set of LED Christmas lights. The overall effect is very pretty, both off and on, in daylight and at night, and can be seen from a mile away across a lake. I definitely recommend the improved appearance of the prismatic globes in this set, rather than using plain globes. My wife would now have preferred colored prismatic globes, which are available as replacement parts, though we plan to achieve the same effect via colored light bulbs. Highly recommended!
