great for reef tank at fraction of price Works excellent for a reef aquarium. Have had growth on all kinds of coral April 29, 2012
good bang for the buck i switched from the coralvue 250 watt MH 20k to this bulb offered here and i have had crazy growth from the switch not to mention the MAJOR price difference between the two. well worth using cause its not the typical knockoff that lasts only a month or two October 30, 2011
Excellent value for a bulb of equal specifications that would normally cost $40-75 These bulbs last for a very long time and are great at providing a healthy colorful reef environment for corals and other invertebrates. My corals grow very well under these bulbs and cost a fraction of other brands. The color may occasionally vary a little bit from bulb to bulb, but for the price you can't beat them. When I hear how much other reef tank owners pay for their bulbs I feel so lucky to have found these. October 29, 2011
Great price! The light doesn't last as long as the more expensive bulbs but I can buy four of these a year and still be cheaper than buying one of the expensive brands. October 5, 2011
Nice reef bulb for great price. I had XM and othet brand name bulbs but at80+ bucks per bulbs, it was too costly. There is a coral farmer the uses this brand of bulbs, dont recall the name and thy suggest it to due to the price. Sajay on reefcentral did a par reading and they compete if not out do some of the higher end bulbs. Good part I can replace 2 bulbs at once without taking out a small loan. Now 1000 bulbs need to make some 120w 3w led fixtures!! September 2, 2011
Great alternative to other 20K bulbs Ive been running these on my SPS reef tank for months. The color is more 14K than 20K when burned in but at 1/6th the price of a Radium bulb its hardly a nusance. I have great color and growth still. June 30, 2011
Great product at a great price I use these bulbs over my 500 gallon reef tank. For the money they stand up to bulbs five times their cost, and I feel they are a great value. Provided they stay affordable, I will be a life time customer of the Pulsrite 20k bulb. June 30, 2011
More Bang, Less Bucks! I have been using Plusrite Metal Halides over my reef tank for roughly two and a half years. I decided to try them, as I was tired of spending $60 and up for the "Name Brand" bulbs. I have used all the big names and paid out the nose for them and the Plusrites are just as good. My Acros and other SPS, get great coloration and growth, just like I got from the other bulbs I've used. My LPS and Zoanthids do great as well and my Clam is quite happy too. I'll NEVER go back to wasting my money on a "BIG Name", when I can get the same performance at a fraction of the price. Give them a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised. June 14, 2011
