Top Notch Bulb! I am using these with the high bay flood fixtures to start this years tomatoes and etc. Working so much better than last years set up is is no comparison. April 1, 2012
great change from using the standard ballast and starter configuration Great products choices, not available everywhere March 12, 2012
Easy swap out I installed these in place of 175w and 250w metal halides in wall packs. Light is equal or better than mh, with great electric savings. October 31, 2011
Great replacement for 300 Watt Incandescent Lamps I used these to replace all 300 Watt incandescent lamps and am very pleased with the result. They use 1/3 the amount of power. Lighting color quality (5,000 K) is whiter and better suited to the location. I don't notice any flickering from the fluorescent lamps. Tthey reach full illuminaiton in littile time. October 30, 2011
Plants prefer the 42 cfl light My tomato plants did much better with a couple of 42 watt cfl bulb than with one of these 105 watt bulb. Plus they are huge you need an adapter to use them. June 30, 2011
excellent bulb I am using this bulb as a grow light for my indoor tomatoes. It is a full spectrum bulb and the plants just love it. They have grown to be the largest tomatoes I have ever seen and the output is tremendous. I highly recommend this bulb if you want a great grow light with minimum heat output. June 30, 2011
Mogul base Not evident in either the description or the photo is the fact that this light has a mogul base, and wouldn't fit the light socket I intended it for. June 13, 2011
Great light output for a reasonable price. I used these flourescent bulbs to retrofit parking lot lighting. The original lighting was metal hallide. When you figure the cost of a metal hallide bulb and ballast the 105w flourescent is much more economical. I just bypassed the original ballast, switched one leg of the 208v circuit to neutral and screwed in the flourescent with matching mogul base. By far the quickest and least costly solution.
