Rated 5 out of 5 by Great alternative for more expensive bulbs We worked with our sales rep to determine if there was an alternative bulb to the $50 ones we had been buying elsewhere. We found one that was lower wattage, brighter light and lower price - good things come in threes. I have recommended 1000bulbs.com to other business owners as I like the service we get. May 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice bulb, excellent customer service I ordered 3, one was damaged. Called service desk and they're sending a replacement at no charge, no shipping, and didnt even need to send the damaged one back--now thats customer service! As for the bulb itself, its plenty bright. I was however surprised it needed a little warm up time to reach full brightness, probably 3-4 minutes I'd guess. You will need the mogul to medium adapter for it. The base does get a little warm so I have it positioned horizontally so the heat doesnt get trapped in the hood. I put the order in late last friday (1-25-13) and it was on my doorstep yesterday (2-1-13). Overall very pleased with the purchase. February 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value We had some arrive broken , need to pack better for shipping. As far as the bulb quality , very effective . We replaced 320 w metal halides in a carwash....very pleased and no more expensive ballast or bulbs. December 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for replacing metal halide. I have four car washes that all had 175W metal halide fixtures, many in need of repair. Instead of replacing expensive ballasts and bulbs, I decided to try these 105W CFLs in one wash. I was so pleased with the results I converted my other three washes within the next couple of months. These bulbs are just as bright as the MH and the light is whiter. The conversion was as simple as throwing away all the guts from the light and run the 120V right to the socket. Now I don't have to deal with the ballast/transformer and the problems with the associated heat they generate. I'm also saving 70 watts on every fixture. 17 months later, I have still not had one burn out. This has been one of the best upgrades I have done. I have nothing but praise for this product. Rated 5 out of 5 by great change from using the standard ballast and starter configuration Great products choices, not available everywhere March 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy swap out I installed these in place of 175w and 250w metal halides in wall packs. Light is equal or better than mh, with great electric savings. October 31, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great replacement for 300 Watt Incandescent Lamps I used these to replace all 300 Watt incandescent lamps and am very pleased with the result. They use 1/3 the amount of power. Lighting color quality (5,000 K) is whiter and better suited to the location. I don't notice any flickering from the fluorescent lamps. Tthey reach full illuminaiton in littile time. October 30, 2011
