I have had these led w white in very high window candles, since I need to get a ladder, I wanted a long life bulb. They're on a timer and burn for 5hrs a night. After 2 yrs time, I added another with a new bulb. I bought 25 so I have spares and took one out of the bag and installed it next to the existing candles. The difference is like night and day! LED's don't really 'burn out', BUT they do begin to dim the day you turn them on. They are still too pricey for the amount of light you get from them. I like the energy savings, but if they don't give off enough illumination, what good are they? I have ordered the 5 watt, 130 volt incandescent which will give long life with more light.

using this on the patio for summer time night lighting over the outdoor dining table. Makes a nice light and it feels good to finally have these light bulbs be LED. Converted all of our christmas lights to led 2 years ago but somehow forgot to do this strand!

While these bulbs look great when not on, they are the weakest lighting for an LED I have ever seen. Nice if you want the light level of a firefly :(
