While this bulb consumes very little power its light is too white giving an otherwise cozy room a cold institutional glow.
I would only recommend these for hallways, bathrooms, garages and outdoor applications. There is something about the warm glow of an incandescent bulb that new technology cannot yet duplicate making living rooms, dens and bedrooms seem more like the rooms in an asylum.
